Literature Text

You got up from the bed and got dressed. You have made your decision. This decision was the hardest thing you have ever had to decide in your life. You looked between the pair of emerald and icy blue eyes. You let out a heavy sigh. “I’m not going to choose either of you.”, you said softly. Arthur and Alfred’s eyes went wide. “What?!”, they both shouted at you in unison. You looked down at the floor. You just couldn’t bring yourself to meet their gaze.

“I can’t choose between you. I love you both too much to hurt one or the other by my choice.”, you said, your voice shaking. Their eyes softened. “B-But _______....I thought we were in this together?”, Alfred’s voice was shaking as he spoke. “I’m sorry, Alfred, but I just can’t do this anymore.”, you continued to stare at the floor.

“I can give you more than this yank can!”, Arthur glared at the American. “Please stay with me. I can give you everything.”, Arthur started to walk towards you. Alfred stood in front of him. “If _______ should choose anyone…it should be me. At least I will give her freedom. I have been the one who has been there for her the most.”, Alfred spat at him.

Arthur huffed. “You’re self-centered. You care nothing about her or her needs.”, He glared at him, his eyes filled with hate. Alfred growled. “You nothing about my feelings towards _______!”, he clenched his fists. You got in between them before a fight broke out. “Stop! This is why I have chosen not to choose either of you!”, you shouted at them.

They both stared at you with shocked expressions. “I’m done with the fighting and the hurt.”, you sighed. “My heart aches for choosing this decision,, but it is something I have to do. I can’t fight this war. I refuse to.”, you walked out from between the two blondes. They watched your every move. “This is goodbye…”, your voice cracked.

Their eyes widened. “Please tell me you’re not leaving completely?!”, Arthur yelled. Alfred just stared at you with a pained expression. “_______...”, he uttered. Your heart felt like it was breaking into a million pieces. You loved these men with all your heart and soul, but this war between them was slowly tearing you apart. You just couldn’t take all the pain anymore.

Tears started to pour from your eyes. Your body shook from the sobbing. They walked over to you to comfort. “Don’t…”, you sniffled and turned to face them. “It will just be harder for the three of us…”, you scanned their faces. You could see the sadness in their eyes. It pulled at your heart to see them that way, but there was no other way.

You walked up to them both and placed a chaste kiss on each of their lips. “I love you both. I’ll never forget either of you. You both have meant so much to me. I can’t bare to hurt you both anymore.”, you said as you turned your back to them once more. “Goodbye, my loves…”, your voice shaking from the tears as you walked out.

They both stared at you as you left them. They were frozen where they stood. They couldn’t believe that you were actually gone. Tears finally made their way down the Brit and American’s cheeks. Both of the soldiers felt empty, broken, and incomplete without you. Reality came crashing around them…you weren’t coming back.

You walked out of the camp and into the darkness. You walked for what seemed like days. You felt so dead inside. You left the two loves of your life. You felt cold and alone. Your mind always kept wandering back to them when suddenly your thoughts were interrupted by a horse approaching you. You looked up at the rider. “Bonjour, mon cherie. Let me get you out of this cold.”, the rider’s hand was offered to you. You hesitated for a moment before you finally took it.
I was requested to make an ending where you chose neither America or England, so here it is.
Enjoy. :D
